YOUR Overwhelming Response of LOVE

Before Christmas, we shared that there was an urgent need for winter coats and other winter clothing items. This significant need was directly connected to the growing number of new asylum seekers in our community and the explosion of growth and demand for more English Language Classes. We had originally shared that the need was for about 250 coats, but that number quickly grew to over 400, including children, teens and adults in every size.

This was a need that seemed insurmountable and easily the largest numbers in recent memory. We shared that need with you and several local churches, not knowing if we could meet the demand. These worries were premature, as God used you to respond to this need with overwhelming love and generosity for our neighbors.

More than 400 neighbors were given a new or gently used coat for themselves and members of their families. In fact, there was more than enough.

Thank you for giving to and loving our neighbors as Jesus taught us to do. Your generosity is a brief view of the Kingdom of God and the transformation that is possible for our cities through the Good News of Jesus.
